He loves to be with humans including toddlers and children. Only cats are uncertain but we think because he is so laid back, he could get used to one or two. He is such a gentle dude, who likes to be by your side but not necessarily on top of your feet. He is very smart, well trained and adaptable. Benson is a very handsome dude and lovable too. He loves to be with humans including toddlers and children. Only cats are uncertain but we think because he is so laid back, he could get used to one or two. He is such a gentle dude. Benson will lie by your feet or by your side or go with you room to room. Another plus is he doesn't snore. He is very smart, well trained and adaptable. In his foster mom's home, he looked at the sofa and then looked at her to see if it was okay. When told "no" he laid down with just a small sigh. He is just the right size at 52 lbs. He is a tall Springer with a gorgeous Liver and White show coat.

His owners hated to give him up but couldn't afford to keep him. He's an example of the best of the English Springer Spaniel breed: just an easy going companion who is such an amiable dog. He would be best placed in a home with at least one other dog because he needs the company. He is doggie door trained. He is fine left alone when he knows you will return even if your schedule varies. Benson watches and notices your life style patterns.  While you are away he likes to have the TV/radio playing and the window shade up so he can look out or to have doggie door so he can go out. He loves to look and watch the little creatures outside when no humans are around.

He loves to go for walks and needs to reduce the little stiffness in his hind legs. Benson is on glucosamine and fish oil and with daily walks he is fine. He likes to walk in the park and meet other dogs. Good hearing and eyesight. Good health overall. He is very sociable...wagging his tail at everyone. He is so loyal and caring just wanting to be by your side.
